Hospital Visit Lawyers – Queensland Wide

Roche Legal offers hospital visits for patients who require legal assistance following an injury, particularly in relation to compensation claims. For general information about personal injury claims in Brisbane, see our personal injury lawyers Brisbane page.

Services for Injured Patients

Many of our clients find themselves in hospital for extended periods – often weeks or months following major injury. During this time, they often want to make productive use of their recovery and get their legal matters underway. A hospital visit from one of our lawyers can make that possible, helping to avoid unnecessary delays once they are discharged.

If you have been injured and are seeking help with a compensation claim such as a Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) claim, our lawyers may be able to attend your hospital or care facility to assist.

We offer these visits Queensland-wide.

  • Advice about compensation options through superannuation (e.g. TPD claims)
  • Urgent assistance for seriously or catastrophically injured patients to help secure rehabilitation funding and facilitate early support
  • Assistance with completing necessary legal forms
  • Liaising with medical teams or insurers to support your claim

Hospital visit fees

Note: Call-outs to hospitals attract additional professional fees on account of urgency, travel time, parking expenses, arranging an appropriate second witness (if necessary), performing a capacity assessment and arranging an additional capacity assessment if necessary, and mobile printing. These fees are on top of our usual fixed fees for wills. Usually, a ‘simple’ will completed with a single hospital call-out can cost around $1500 in total. If the will maker is considered not to have appropriate mental capacity at the time, only the call-out fee will be charged.

Priority is given to injured persons seeking assistance with TPD or compensation claims. Other matters are considered on a case-by-case basis and may not always be available.

Contact us today to arrange for one of Roche Legal’s friendly lawyers to come and see you.

If you have sustained an injury

If you’ve sustained a serious injury that may entitle you to a total and permanent disability benefit, our compensation lawyers travel Queensland-wide, regardless of where you’re located.

That means any and every hospital in Queensland, public or private.
