Queensland’s first private medical legal partnership
In 2017, ROCHE Legal entered into a Medical Legal Partnership with the Dennis Road Medical Centre in Springwood to provide cost and obligation free legal advice to their patients.
Studies in the USA have shown that such partnerships are beneficial to the health of patients who get treated by a doctor for symptoms that are often related to legal issues worrying the patient. By addressing the legal issue concerning the patient the physical, psychological and emotional health of the patient improves.
TPD Certificates
If you are making a TPD Claim and the insurer requires two statements from medical practitioners you might find yourself in the position of only having your single treating doctor to assist you.
Our lawyers are available to investigate all options for you to make a claim for total and permanent disability through your superannuation insurance.
If you require a second medical statement from a doctor, Roche Legal can arrange for you to be reviewed by one of Dennis Road Medical’s friendly and experienced doctors for an additional certification.

Attending an Independent Medical Examination?
It is important for independent medical examinations (IMEs) to be independent, and although the thought of being assessed by an expert doctor may cause anxiety, we do not recommend that a lawyer is present for your examination. However, our lawyers can easily prepare you for what to expect during your independent assessment, regardless of whether your assessment is for physical injuries or injuries of a psychological nature.
